Holistic training is a science-based, holistic approach to training. It takes into account the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of each person to provide individualized program that is optimal for each client's goals.
My name is Charlotte Lake, owner of Holistic Training. I began my years of experience with exercise and fitness as a student athlete in high school where I developed a passion for resistance training and its applications to sport. I went on to graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology, an interdisciplinary field that studies the science of human movement.
I have used my accumulated knowledge in my over 12 years of experience teaching people of all ages and abilities how to swim and as a competitive swim coach. I am currently certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer and is actively pursuing a Certified Sport Performance Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I also make it a point to stay current on the most recent and relevant exercise science to provide the most effective programming available.
As a firm believer in continuing education, I have continued to expand my skills and knowledge after my studies at Arizona State in a variety of scientific and philosophical fields to develop my own personal approach to fitness and athletic training. Over time, I have come to appreciate the benefits of a holistic approach that takes into account all the different aspects of an athlete including their biology, psychology, and social life.
Thanks for your message!
I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
